ACEMATT^® TS 100

A thermal, untreated matting agent.

Average agglomerate particle size: 9.5 μm d₅₀ (laser diffraction)

Delivers excellent matting efficiency and transparency. Because of the unique manufacturing process, it is particularly suitable for systems that are difficult to matt, water-borne dispersion coatings and topcoats. ACEMATT^® TS 100 is especially indicated in formulations that require outstanding resistance to household chemicals. Its high purity and resulting low electrical conductivity make TS 100 ideally suited for use in sensitive coating systems. ACEMATT^® TS 100 also improves flow behavior and storage stability of powder coatings.

ACEMATT^® 3300

A new addition to the ACEMATT^® family based on fumed silica.

Average agglomerate particle size: 10 μm d₅₀ (laser diffraction)

Its specific surface treatment delivers improved haptic (texture) properties along with excellent matting efficiency and high transparency. Compared with conventional untreated matting agents based on precipitated silica, coatings matted with ACEMATT^® 3300 show a marked improvement in mar and burnish resistance. Suspension behavior in both solvent and water-based systems is significantly better, and in water-based systems coating systems.

ACEMATT^® 3300 ensures only minimal absorption of associative thickeners. Very suitable for soft feel coatings.

ACEMATT^® 3600

ACEMATT® 3600, treated with a special organic polymer, is a fine particle size silica, especially designed for low gloss radiation curable coatings. ACEMATT® 3600 has a low impact on the viscosity of UV Coatings compared to conventional silica matting agents. High mating efficiency, excellent transparency in UV coating systems and an easy processability are additional features.
